The past doesn’t always fade away; it can be reflected in our present and even future. While doing an interview for English class, where I inquired my father about my grandparents’ history, he briefly described their occupations and bland details about them. He even described them as, “normal people”, living average lives. He described his mother as a “housewife” and his father as a “civil worker”, even saying that his parents’ occupations are the same as his own and his wife’s. This lead me to think about how our past can be reflected in our present, whether it’s through family history or something else.
